A Muse in Harmony

The music we make, creates. Medicine music for the Soul.

About

I was born singing, (We all are, really, if you consider our first breath’s cry.) and I learned at a very early age that my voice moves people. It’s kinda my superpower. 😉 Well, and being a badass unschooling Mom! To witness such emotion that I was a catalyst for changed my life. And it is my path to share this gift with as many beings as I can until I release this mortal coil.

Challenging myself, both vocally and in life, I’ve manifested so many incredible experiences. At age 7, I began singing professionally, moved to Nashville and began training with famed vocal coach Gerald Arthur, co-writing for major labels, recording in pro studios, and by age 16, a major record label came knockin’. But guess what. I didn’t take their deal. Why on earth not, you ask? A shift and a vision.

The shift was the announcement of my parents’ divorce, and the vision was of my own family and children I would one day sing to. I could actually feel them (born intuitive), and met my husband just a couple years later. (Turns out he was already in my life, but that’s another story you can read in my blog archive.)

What was I to do now? So I examined my life and one consistency was being there for others in times of distress, so I changed my major to Psychology. (I was homeschooled, so I was in college already, and again…driven!) I couldn’t wait to get my feet on the ground and make a difference, so I got my feet wet right out of college with dual-diagnosis mental health child case management.

Blessings on those who can do this work for years on end, because it took me down emotionally and physically (heart specialists, monitors, ER visit…). My highly empathic heart literally couldn’t handle the job, and without having yet developed spiritual tools to hold my own space and release the energies, I left the field to take a position as the PR/Marketing Specialist within the same non-profit. While it seemed like a detour at the time, the job really gave me a lot of tools to use for myself. Event planning, event photography, promotional materials/items, web and graphic design, requesting stats and more.

Since I’m not a 9-5 kinda woman, I eventually left the grind to birth, raise and unschool our two wild boys. This journey of motherhood revived my voice, intuitively discovering and singing a unique song for each of them, most every day from bump to birth and beyond. My voice was literally my only pain relief for both of their natural births, and I’ll be the first to remind an expecting Mother of the power of her voice.

Now, as a slightly older human with many more tools in her basket, I embrace music from a holistic perspective. More than just entertainment, it’s a powerful tool of entrainment for the body, mind, spirit and the world as we experience it. For the past 8 years, in addition to wife and mom life, I’ve dedicated myself to practicing and sharing the art and consciousness of sound and its powers of healing, activism and manifestation. I believe in making the world a better place, one empowered voice at a time. For more info about my work, check out my services.

I pledge to inspire, to move people, and perhaps a mountain or two, with my voice and music. To share my whole, beautiful and sometimes messy truth each and every moment I am on this sacred Earth, and encourage others to do the same.
