BIO

Jess Bray is an East Texas native Singer-Songwriter + Producer, creating and sharing her music from her pro home studio, in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Jess believes in the quantum power of music to change the world, creating songs to inspire and empower the audience to become the artist of their own lives.

Inspired by her rural roots, her spiritual journey and family, Jess’s style spans various genres including Country, Hip Hop, Neo-Soul, Pop, Folk and World music.

Jess’s eclectic palate and vocal forward style is reflected in her inspirations: the storytelling, outlaw spirit of Johnny Cash and YelaWolf, the conscious lyrics of Nahko, the vocal acrobatics of Yma Sumac, artists like Eivor, conjuring the spirit of the ancients, and folk artists from across the globe, including overtone and throat-singing.

As a young performer, growing up in Golden, Texas, Jess inspired and encouraged a little girl wanting to perform herself, now known internationally as multi Grammy winning artist, Kacey Musgraves.

Since declining a major record deal at 16, Jess has devoted her time to her husband and children and to creating spaces for people to free their voice and sing with positive intention for themselves and the world.

In August 2019, Jess released her debut, independent, alternative country single, L.Y.L.A.S., and in April 2020, co-released the hip hop single, Go Slow, with Guyku Music.

Jess’s next single is set to drop this May 2020. As well, she is creating a world music album, inspired by the elements, for the Modern Muses Oracle collection.
